MTC WorkForce Software Administrator (WFS Solution Architect) in Centerville, Utah

Overview

Position Summary:

The WorkForce Software (WFS) Administrator/Solution Architect reports to the Director, Information Technology and is responsible for the technical service and support for the MTC implementation within the WFS system. This position works directly with HR, Payroll, and IT staff to research, analyze, recommend, develop, and provide necessary configuration, development, and administration of the WFS system. The ideal candidate preferably will have WFS System Administration skills and prior certification/training. Transferable skills from supporting another system as a System Administrator may also be considered. In any case, the desire to certify in WFS is expected.

Essential Functions:

  • Experience with configuring WFS to meet business requirements that vary from what is delivered out-of-the-box.

  • Administer the sFTP environment on WFS and keep it secure, clean, and well organized.

  • Monitor software performance and troubleshoot issues, identifying technical risks and issues, and providing mitigation options.

  • Manage and implement the technical tools provided with WFS (e.g. APIs, Admin Tool, etc.)

  • Create or modify Crystal Reports within the WFS application environment. Requires knowledge of SQL and the WFS application database.

  • Create or modify leave plans in WFS in collaboration with subject experts.

  • Create or modify WFS integrations as needed.

  • Maintain and Configure WFS general configurations as needed.

  • New Site Setup and Old Site Closeout when needed.

  • Administer the WFS test environment and provide data refresh as needed.

  • Manage the pay elements created in WFS as requested by subject experts and coordinate with Oracle Fusion administrators to ensure they map appropriately.

  • Administer shifts created in WFS and support the Advanced Scheduler implementation.

  • Maintain holiday schedules in WFS.

  • Research periodic WFS system updates and make recommendations regarding issues or needed action before applying the updates in production.

  • Submit issues and enhancement requests through WFS customer support portal.

  • Escalate product issues when all avenues of resolution are exhausted.

  • Must be able to think critically and produce work that is accurate and correct.

  • Stay up to date with best practices, skills, and job knowledge.

  • Responsibilities may require evening or weekend work as the situation requires.

  • Account for all project time and activities. Track tasks, issues, and projects using JIRA. Be able to manage multiple projects concurrently.

  • Create process documentation, diagrams, and feature specifications. Document essential procedures.

  • Provide technical support and excellent customer service.

  • Comply with information security requirements and standards applicable to HR, Payroll, and other data handled as part of the job.

  • Maintain accountability of property; adhere to safety practices.

  • It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in computer related field or comparable experience.

  • 5 years of experience in engineering, software architecture, or similar technical role.

  • Bring WFS certifications needed to perform job functions or obtain them within one year after hire date.

  • Must be willing and able to travel.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
