Rate of Pay: $89,000 per year

Schedule: Full Time

Location: Traveling between our facilities located in Graceville, Panama City, Quincy Florida.

What you will be doing: Provide regional support for our Florida facilities. Requires strong analytical skills. Coordinating with the Regional Nurse Educator to determine training needs for the facilities.

Essential responsibilities:

• Survey health-related areas of the facility for compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and interpretations.

• Supervise activities of the continuous quality improvement (CQI) Committee, including the quarterly mental health meeting: compiling and reporting statistical data; scheduling, preparing agendas and minutes, and sending the information to the health services administrator for distribution.

• Review reports, medical charts, and other documentation for completion in accordance with FDC requirements.

• Utilize FDC, Florida correctional medical authority (CMA), ACA, and national commission on correctional health care (NCCHC) audit tools to establish performance measures and process indicator studies.

• Assist in the creation of corrective action plans (CAPs) for audit findings or deficiencies.

• Communicate on a complex level with others (internally or externally) to provide, exchange, or verify information, address issues, or resolve problems or complaints.

• Interpret policies, procedures, rules, regulations, or standards for others.

• Evaluate program, procedures, or processes for effectiveness and make recommendations to resolve issues or improve performance.

• Coordinate with management staff to identify training needs and assist in developing and conducting orientation or training for staff; provide the oversight of verification of staff credentials.

• Prepare complex ongoing or special narrative or statistical reports.

• Routine travel to assigned facilities to provide close monitoring and support is required.

• Maintain accountability of staff, inmates, and property; adhere to safety practices.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Degree in nursing, current, valid registered nursing license for the state of Florida or compact state. Must possess current CPR certification. Must work within Florida State Board of Nursing Scope of Practice. Minimum of one (1) year Quality Assurance experience or three (3) years Charge Nurse experience preferred. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
