What you will be doing: Youll be responsible for the medical services for students including sick call and physical examinations, in compliance with government and management directives.
Position Responsibilities Include:
Provide coordinated on-center health and wellness services to include promotion, prevention, assessment, intervention, treatment, and follow up of medical, mental health, drug and alcohol and oral health and wellness issues.
Serve as a member of the mental health team and participate in monthly meetings with the center director to advise on programmatic issues.
Recommend students for psychological and psychiatric evaluations and ensure treatment and follow-up is rendered.
Recommend students to be monitored in chronic medical clinic and provide appropriate guidance to nursing staff in assisting these students in obtaining and maintaining optimal control of individual medical conditions.
Assist health and wellness director in developing, implementing and monitoring departmental budget. Advise on and implement cost-effective measures and continuous quality improvement plan.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Valid license to practice medicine in the state of employment.
Current DEA registration.
Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
