SUMMARY/GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF JOB:SUMMARY/GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF JOB:Reports to the Springdale Center Director. Directly supervises programs manager, employment specialist, the nurse/disability coordinator, records administrator, and secretary. Responsible for the management of the PIVOT program, in compliance with government and management directives.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & JOB FUNCTIONS

  • :Plan, coordinate and direct the administrative and programmatic activities of the PIVOT program.

  • Provide staff training, evaluate staff performance; recommend and implement personnel changes as approved by the center director and coordinated with the manager, human resources prior to implementation.

  • Develop budget; monitor and control expenditures; review and recommend changes to budget authorizations.

  • Develop and implement new and revised policies and procedures affecting the PIVOT program; coordinate with the Springdale center for compliance with overall objectives.

  • Regularly assess and audit PIVOT for contractual compliance and quality delivery of services to students; prepare audit and assessment reports.

  • Regularly inspect facilities; maintain quality standards.

  • Coordinate with Springdale center and DOL to ensure program efficiency and compliance.

  • Establish program plans, goals and objectives to assure achievement through management control.

  • Implement and establish contacts with community resources and agencies for health, dental, and TEAP services; coordinate and make recommendations on these activities with the Springdale Center Director and corporate office.

  • Maintain communications with the PIVOT student government association and conduct student assemblies and individual meetings.

  • Maintain effective multi-agency cooperation; establish and maintain close contact with government, civic and community based agencies and the news media to promote acceptance and involvement in the program.

  • Provide program control of center reports, policies, operating procedures, staff travel, student separations, linkages and pilot projects, disclosures of information.

  • Analyze DOL mainstream and placement reports on a quarterly basis; implement program modifications as necessary.

  • Serve in the capacity of business and community liaison.

  • Support and promote center zero tolerance policies.

  • Participate in student employability programs and activities.

  • Promote the development of career success standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students when necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions.

  • Maintain accountability of staff, students and property; adhere to safety practices.

  • It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, & Professional Association)MANDATORY:

  • Bachelor’s degree and four years related experience, three of which must be in a managerial capacity.

  • Experience working with youth.

  • Computer proficient.

  • Valid driver’s license in the state of residence with an acceptable driving record.

  • The ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen (to include Marijuana).
