Sierra Nevada Job Corps offers young adults vocational training in a variety of trades. Our campus provides outstanding recreational opportunities, well-equipped learning labs and individualized, self-paced vocational and academic programs including high school diploma and GED programs.Job Corps is the most successful job training program of its kind. Reports to the manager, food services. Responsible for preparation of all center meals in accordance with planned menus, in compliance with government and management directives.
Prepare and cook quantity of food required according to menu and number of students.
Assist in instructing senior cafeteria attendants, cafeteria attendants, and assistance in the safe, hygienic method pf preparing and serving appetizing, eye appealing meals.
Maintain kitchen equipment in orderly workable condition; ensure work area is safe, clean and sanitary at all times.
Assist in cleaning kitchen work areas following each meal.
Supervise students as assigned.
Recommend replenishment of stockroom commodities.
High School diploma or equivalent and one year related experience required.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
