Wind River Job Corps Center, Located in Riverton Wyoming, is operated by Management & Training Corporation (MTC) for the U.S. Department of Labor. Located on the second bench above the Wind River Valley, the Center is one of the largest employers in Fremont County. Our staff teach approximately 300 youth, ages 16-24, the academic, technical training, employability and social skills they need to become prepared for successful careers


Position Summary:Reports to the wellness manager. Responsible for providing direct and indirect substance use/abuse services and treatment for students. The outcome goal is to teach students how to maintain employability. Coordinates the Trainee Employee Assistance Program (TEAP).Responsible for coordinating the center TEAP programs, in compliance with the Department of Labor (DOL) and Management & Training Corporation (MTC) directives.Essential Functions:1.Review detailed background file, conduct personal interview and test as necessary to analyze and recommend a program for each assigned student.2. Maintain individual progress notes and medical chart.3. Provide continuous TEAP counseling on an individual and group basis. Recommend necessary program modifications throughout each assigned student's stay.4.Conduct continuous TEAP interpretation and evaluation of progress in student's specific TEAP development program.5. Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students. Prepare related reports.6.Develope three center wide activities addressing relapse prevention annually.7. Coordinate the delivery of group educational, peer support and other prevention sessions for students.8.Provide ongoing comprehensive training for all students.9.Provide counseling and/or personal development sessions regarding TEAP.10. Work closely with center recreation staff to develope improved recreation alternatives within the community.11. Assist in the evaluation of center services for students and recommend modifications for improvement.12. Initiate and conduct individual and group TEAP counseling, evaluate student responses to sessions and recommend further action.13. coordinate services and interviews with counselors , the center mental health consultants, and other center staff.14. Provide positive, quality customer service to students, staff and other center customers.15. Participate in student employability programs and activities.16. Support, promote, and enforce the Job Corps Zero Tolerance Policy.17.Promote the development of career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students where necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions.18.Maintain accountability of students and property; adhere to safety practices.It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.Education and Experience Requirements:Preffered Bachelors degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related field. Substance abuse certification in the state of employment. Must have one of three certification, or one within 1 year.1.Licensed Additions Therpoist (LAT)2.Certified Additions Practitioner (CAP)3.Certified Additions Practitioner Assistant (CAPA)Experience working with youth, excellent written and verbal communication and computer proficiency required. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
